The latest update to our long-standing classic introduces a thermoplastic matrix, resulting in an almost unbreakable shell perfect for the rigours of everyday arboriculture. Lower Classic straps with upper Velcro straps: The imitation leather straps in combination with the upper 105 mm (4.13 inches) Velcro strap are called Classic Strap for a reason. It is highly resistant to resin and sawdust and is extremely durable. Calf diameter: 31 to 50 cm (1.22 to 1.97 inches) Max length of lower straps: 66 cm (2.6 inches) |
Shank and Gaff Configurations: All gaffs are pre-sharpened and have a black PTFE coating for easy release from the wood and maximum corrosion protection.
Short (Pole) gaff: The Distel pole gaff is ideal for thin-barked trees. It easily penetrates hard and dry wood.
Medium gaff: The medium gaff is the perfect middle ground between the short and long gaff. A much blunter and crowned shape and a wider underside, reduces sinking into the wood when standing for a longer period of time and makes it easier to remove the gaffs from the wood again without compromising the penetration behavior.
Long (Tree) gaff: The Distel tree gaff is the specialist for trees with thick bark. The long length of the gaff ensures a firm grip.
